Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Soccer Academy?
Academy programs focus on teaching players essential soccer skills. Training is focused on the individual player, meeting them where they are at and customizing the training to meet their specific goals.
How does the Academy compare to Club or Community Soccer Teams?
The Academy is focused on individual player development. Our goal is to help Club and Community players build their skills and become the best soccer players that they can be. The Academy is an excellent component of any players training and can improve the performance of any team through the development of individual players.
Players who are not part of a team will also benefit from the Academy as we provide a fun and supportive environment for kids to learn the fundamentals of soccer and develop their love of the game!
What can I expect from the coaching team?
There are lot of people out there calling themselves trained "soccer coaches", but what does that mean? In Canada there are a number of coaching certification levels for everything from parent volunteers to professional soccer coaches. Make sure you know what kind of qualifications your child's coach has.
At Ginga, all training sessions are led by Filipe Dos Santos.
